Supported Devices

Review the ADT Pulse accessories this plugin exposes to HomeKit and the sensor types you can add through your configuration.

What This Plugin Covers

Despite the name "ADT Pulse for Homebridge," this plugin exposes only the accessories listed on this page. It is not a full replacement for the official ADT Pulse app.

Sensors are exposed in read-only mode, so their status appears in the Home app but cannot be changed from HomeKit.

Default Accessories

These accessories are always exposed, without any extra configuration:

Accessory	Type	Description
Gateway	`gateway`	The gateway that connects your ADT Pulse system to the portal.
Security Panel	`panel`	The alarm control panel for arming and disarming your system.
Alarm Ringing Switch	`panelSwitch`	A switch used to silence a ringing alarm.

The Alarm Ringing switch can be turned off through your configuration. See Advanced Options for the caveats.

Configurable Sensors

The following sensor types can be exposed based on your configuration. Each is added by declaring it in the sensors array with the matching adtType value.

To add a sensor, provide its display name, ADT name, ADT zone, and one of the adtType values above:

The Temperature Sensor (temperature) reports its state as degree values rather than open or closed, because that is how the HAP protocol handles temperature. See Temperature Sensors for details.

Z-Wave Accessories

Z-Wave accessories connected to the ADT Pulse gateway are not supported, and support is not planned. This is due to implementation complexity and platform instability.

If you rely on Z-Wave devices, consider one of these alternatives:

Hubitat Hub — A local hub for a seamless setup experience.
Home Assistant Z-Wave — The Z-Wave JS integration for Home Assistant.

Adding a New Sensor Type

If your sensor type is not listed here, the plugin reports the unknown status back to the maintainer automatically. It is recommended that you do not open a separate GitHub issue for it.

Support is added once enough information is gathered to determine the statuses the portal displays.
