Operational Mode
Switch between Normal, Paused, and Reset modes to control how the plugin runs or removes accessories.
Modes
The plugin offers three operational modes, selected through the mode field in config.json.
| Value | Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
"normal" | Normal | Runs the plugin as usual for regular operation. |
"paused" | Paused | Keeps accessories in place, but all devices become non-responsive. |
"reset" | Reset | Removes the accessories associated with this plugin. |
Config Field
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
mode | Operational mode for the plugin. Required. Accepts "normal", "paused", or "reset". Defaults to "normal". |
Set the field inside your platform block:
{
"platforms": [
{
"platform": "ADTPulse",
"name": "ADT Pulse",
"mode": "normal"
}
]
}
Normal
Set mode to "normal" for regular operation.
This is the default and the value you use for everyday monitoring and control.
{
"mode": "normal"
}
Paused
Set mode to "paused" to pause the plugin.
While paused, all devices become non-responsive, so the security panel and sensors stop reacting from within the Home app.
{
"mode": "paused"
}
Reset
Set mode to "reset" to remove the accessories associated with this plugin.
When the plugin starts in Reset mode, it begins a countdown with warnings before removing anything.
danger
You have approximately 40 seconds to reverse the mode setting and restart Homebridge before all accessories related to this plugin are removed.
This countdown exists to guard against unintended resets, which would otherwise force you to reconfigure automations and accessories from scratch.
{
"mode": "reset"
}
