Portal Region
Set the subdomain value in your platform configuration to point the plugin at the United States or Canada ADT Pulse portal.
Why This Matters
ADT Pulse is available to consumers in either the United States or Canada, and each country is served by a different portal host.
- The
subdomainvalue tells the plugin which portal to sign in to. - Choosing the wrong region points the plugin at a portal that does not recognize your account.
Choosing a Region
Pick the value that matches the country where your ADT service is subscribed.
| Region | subdomain value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| United States | portal | Use this if you are an ADT Pulse customer in the U.S. |
| Canada | portal-ca | Use this if you are an ADT Pulse customer in Canada. |
The subdomain field is required and defaults to portal.
Example
Add the subdomain value to your platform block in config.json:
config.json
{
"platforms": [
{
"platform": "ADTPulse",
"name": "ADT Pulse",
"subdomain": "portal"
}
]
}
Canadian customers set the value to portal-ca instead:
config.json
{
"platforms": [
{
"platform": "ADTPulse",
"name": "ADT Pulse",
"subdomain": "portal-ca"
}
]
}
info
The ability to switch between countries is determined by the ADT region you are subscribed to, so select the value that matches your subscription.
